Abstract

The detection of accelerated expansion posits dark energy as a primary constituent in the Universe at the present epoch. In cosmological holography, the Hubble horizon assumes a finite entropy and de Sitter temperature as a function of the Hubble parameter H and the cosmological deceleration parameter q. As a covariant null-surface, the Hubble horizon introduces a dynamical dark energy in the Einstein equations. We derive the modified Friedmann-Robertson-Walker equations and compute q(z) as a function of redshift by numerical integration. The results are consistent with existing data on low-z cosmology in the (q(z),dq/dz) diagram. The predicted high rate dq/dz at z=0 may be resolved by improved low-z data in the near future (van Putten, 2015, MNRAS, 450, L48).
